Infrared
Infrared photography utilizes infrared light, which has wavelengths longer than visible light. This unique technique captures the infrared radiation emitted by objects, resulting in stunning images that can transform ordinary scenes into extraordinary works of art. Foliage often appears bright white, while the sky takes on darker, richer tones, creating a dreamlike quality that captivates viewers.
Infrared light is not visible to the human eye but can be detected by specialized cameras and film. Standard digital cameras are sensitive to infrared light but are typically fitted with an infrared filter to block it. To create infrared images, photographers can either modify their cameras to remove the filter or use external infrared filters on their lenses.
