About Me
As you stumbled upon my website, you may be wondering, „Who is the person behind these shots?“ Well, allow me to introduce myself. I am Cornelia Thieme, a passionate diver and photographer with a love for ocean and a knack for capturing animals through lenses.
History
My underwater journey began during a 1992 holiday in the Maldives when I first experienced snorkeling. Immersed in a realm of vibrant corals and graceful fish, I was instantly captivated, sparking a passion that led me to quickly obtain my diving license. Since then, I’ve been irresistibly drawn to the ocean, forever fascinated by the beauty and mysteries it holds. As my skills developed, I embraced various technical diving disciplines, expanding my understanding of this vast aquatic world.
Each dive presents an opportunity to capture the underwater magic through my lens. My journey into underwater photography started with the Sea & Sea MX-10, a humble but reliable companion that immortalized my early adventures. As technology evolved, I transitioned to digital, exploring compact cameras, honing my craft, and refining my style. Today, I use the OM-Systems OM-1, a powerful tool that brings my visions to life.
Over the years, my dedication to diving and photography has deepened. I continuously seek out new techniques and methods to enhance my skills, driven by the thrill of discovering unique perspectives and capturing fleeting moments. Each global expedition offers fresh inspiration, fueling my passion for documenting the awe-inspiring beauty of our planet’s underwater marvels.

More than just photography
I recently invested in a 3D printer and started making my own snoots, zoom gear, flip diopters, cave markers, and other accessories. With a growing interest, I launched a webshop called iGoScuba, where I sell my prints and take custom orders too!
I’m super excited to share that the latest additions to my webshop are medical products catered to your needs. From tools for MRI and CT Scanner to a convenient crutch holder.
